Mary Virginia Hosman Farmer

Mary Farmer, 74, of Pine Bluff, died Friday, May 6, 2016. Mary was born July 26, 1941, in Pine Bluff to the late Jack and Mary Hosman. Mary graduated from Dollarway High School in 1959. She worked with the Arkansas Archeological Survey for over 35 years. She gave many speeches on archeology around the state. She will be remembered most by her "history of canning jars" talk. She was a member of Arkansas Archeological Society, Razorback Antique Auto Club and Rusty Wheels Antique Engine Club. Mary married Donald Jean Farmer July 30, 1959; he preceded her in death May 2, 2004. Survivors include a son, Daren Wayne Farmer; daughter, Donna Gail Eastham; grandchildren, Bryan Farmer, Sarah Eastham, and Adam Eastham; brothers, Ralph Hosman and Jack Hosman Jr. Funeral services will be Thursday, May 12, 2016, at 1:30 p.m. in the Ralph Robinson & Son Funeral Directors Chapel, Reverend Harvey Hibner officiating. Burial will follow in Bellwood Cemetery.
