Brian Scott Dewberry

Mr. Brian Scott Dewberry, age 49, passed away on May 16, 2016 surrounded by his loved ones. Brian was born on September 23, 1966 in Charleston, S.C. to Jerry and Bettie Dewberry. Brian loved his family above all else. Those left to cherish his memory include his mother, Bettie; brother, Phillip (Carmella) Dewberry; sister, Renee (Milton) Armstrong; aunt, Gerlyn Foster; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by this father, Jerry Dewberry, and both parental and maternal grandparents. Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.higginshillcrestchapel.com. Brian, known by his middle name, Scott, grew up as a military dependent and traveled with his family to many overseas locations. He lived in several states such as South Carolina, Virginia, Kansas, Arkansas and Georgia. Rarely did he meet any strangers; his personality and giving nature were a blessing to all who knew him. He loved adventure and lived to fill every moment with a new experience. He was a hairdresser by trade; but his love for gardening, good food, and beautiful flowers was known and shared by many. Brian was No pretense and No apologies for who he was; he filled his life with love, honor, fun and adventure. He would want family and friends to focus on his wonderful full life, not the suffering that defined the end of his life. His family feel lifted up, and they all have peace that surpasses understanding. Private graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, May 21, 2016 at Oak Hill Cemetery. Flowers are welcome or donations may be made to Heart of Georgia Hospice, 103 West Ridge Dr., Warner Robins, Ga. 31088. Higgins Hillcrest Chapel Funeral Home, Newnan, Ga. 770-253-4723.
