Harry Rush Gunther

Harry Rush Gunther of Little Rock passed away on May 15, 2016. Born in Memphis, Tennessee to Harry Boyd and Margaret Rush Gunther, he was a graduate of Memphis Catholic High School. He was an avid hunter, scuba diver, and outdoor enthusiast. Mr. Gunther owned a local dive store for 25 years and spent most of his time teaching people what he loved to do. He was passionate about outdoor explorations and animated in his story-telling about his life experiences. Mr. Gunther was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter, Suzi Gunther and his hunting companion labs, Jessie and Max. He is survived by his wife, Cindy Whayne Gunther; son, John Julius Gunther and wife, Amanda; daughter, Harriett Rush Gunther; grandsons, Christopher and Matthew; sister, Dorothy Gunther Pugh and husband, Robert; brother, George Paul Gunther; new hunting companion, Joe; and a host of other family and friends. Visitation will be held this evening, Wednesday, May 18, 2016 from 6-8 p.m. at Little Rock Funeral Home, 8801 Knoedl Ct. (NW corner I-630 and Barrow Rd.). Services will be held Thursday, May 19, 2016 at 1 p.m. at St. James United Methodist, 321 Pleasant Valley Dr. Memorials may be made to St. James United Methodist Church or to the American Cancer Society.
