John Thomas Brown, 52, of North Little Rock, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Monday, May 16, 2016. He was born on December 27, 1963 in Little Rock. He is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, George and Mickey Dutton, Verlyn C. Tobey; and his paternal grandparents, William and Mary Etta Brown. Survivors include his mother and father, Haydon and Maria Brown of North Little Rock; three brothers, Rick (Rita) Brown of Madison, Wisconsin, Jerry (Debbie) Brown of Rogers, Arkansas, Greg (Sheryl) Brown of The Woodlands, Texas; five nephews, Austin, Adam, Lucas, Seth, and Aaron Brown; one niece, Hannah Brown Baker. Johnny studied architecture at the University of Arkansas. He devoted his life to caring for animals and worked as a pet groomer for 20 years. He worked at Eubanks Veterinary Clinic and owned John's Pet Salon, for several years. He enjoyed apple pie, family get-togethers and his beloved pets. His welcoming laugh, friendly smile and faithful hugs will be missed by all that loved him. Visitation will be held on Friday, May 20, 2016 at 2 p.m. at Griffin Leggett Rest Hills Funeral Home, 7724 Landers Road, North Little Rock, Arkansas 72117. Graveside service will be held Friday, May 20, 2016 at 3 p.m. at Rest Hills Memorial Park, 7724 Landers Road, North Little Rock, Arkansas 72117. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to North Little Rock Animal Shelter, 1 Championship Drive, North Little Rock, Arkansas 72118.
