Shirley Loretta Brooks

SHIRLEY LORETTA BROOKS, age 80, of Little Rock passed away Thursday, May 19, 2016. She was born Jan. 26, 1936 in Little Rock to the late James Slay Matthews and Ethel Mae King Matthews. Shirley was a member of VFW Post 9095 where she enjoyed participating with the women's auxiliary. She liked to fish and was a great mother. She is survived by 5 children, Becky Hightower, James Brooks (Sandra), Richard Brooks (Donna), Robin Neff (Terry) and Charlotte Wherry, 11 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and two nieces. Visitation will be Tuesday, May 24, 2016 at Ruebel Funeral Home from 11 a.m.-noon followed by a graveside at 1 p.m. at Roselawn Memorial Park.
