Ann Beno Skrei

Ann Beno Skrei passed away Sunday, May 21, 2016 at Circle of Life – Legacy Village in Bentonville, Ark. She was born on July 10, 1933 to George and Fern Beno in Council Bluffs, Iowa. She graduated from Abraham Lincoln High School in 1951 and Iowa State University in 1955. On August 6, 1955 she married Richard Skrei of Moorhead, Minn. She was a member of Bella Vista's United Lutheran Church, and was very active with the Piecemaker's Quilting Group and the Meals on Wheels Program. She enjoyed bridge, golfing, birdwatching, and traveling. Having resided in nine different states she had many lasting friends and was loved by all. She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, George "Chub" Beno and John Beno; and son-in-law, Randy Mock. She is survived by her husband Richard of 61 years; three children, Sandra of Glen Rose, Texas, Steven (Sue) of Columbus, Ohio, Paul (Beth) of Bella Vista, Ark.; as well as four grandchildren, several nieces and nephews, two great-grandchildren of the heart. A family memorial and interment is planned for September in Minnesota. Arrangements are by the Bella Vista Funeral Home & Crematory, 2258 Forest Hills Blvd., Bella Vista, Arkansas.
