Hazel Dawn Taylor Rutledge Loggains went to be with the Lord on Sunday, May 29, 2016 in Melbourne, Ark. She was born April 23, 1918 to Clarence and Verda (Duncan) Taylor in the Oak Bluff Community of Independence County, Ark. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, William and Cyntheia (Baker) Duncan and Milous and Mary Jane (Hix) Taylor; her parents; five of her siblings: Bill Taylor, Inez McDonald, Bea Harris Henderson, Ima Glenn Fox, and Duncan Taylor; and her husbands, Cecil M. Rutledge (married 1939) and William H. Loggains (married 1971). She is survived by four children: Mary Rutledge Bristow and husband, Bill of Jonesboro, Ark., Alice Rutledge Moxley and husband, Jared of Guion, Ark., Calvin Rutledge and wife, Carol of Poplar Bluff, Mo., and Betty Rutledge Brightwell and husband, Danny of Melbourne; nine grandchildren: Lisa Hancock, Eret Moxley, Josh Moxley, Melissa Richardson, Benjamin Bristow, Candace Warren, Courtney Rutledge, Daniel Brightwell, and David Brightwell; 21 great-grandchildren; two siblings, Audrey Eddings of Batesville, Ark. and Louise Stair of Jacksonville, Ark.; one sister-in-law, Medrith Taylor of Sulphur Rock, Ark.; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends. She was a member of the Church of Christ. She was a homemaker and worked in nursing. She was devoted to her large family and will be forever missed. She enjoyed gardening, reading Daniel Steel novels, debating politics, and listening to country music. Pallbearers will be her grandsons: Eret Moxley, Josh Moxley, Benjamin Bristow, Daniel Brightwell, David Brightwell, Tommy Hancock, Kris Richardson, and Jay Warren. Visitation will be at 10 a.m. and the funeral service at 11 a.m. at the Roller-Crouch Funeral Home Chapel in Batesville on Tuesday, May 31 with Danny Brightwell officiating. Burial will follow at Oaklawn Cemetery in Batesville.
