William Rudy Osborne, 74, of Benton, Ark., passed away Nov. 3, 2016. He was born Dec. 15, 1941 in Zanesville, Ohio, to the late William and Eleanor Tiesinger Fisher. William served in the United States Army and was a Hazardous Materials Trainer. He was an accomplished musician and was one of the best steel guitar players you have ever heard. Preceding William in death are his wife of 39 years, Shelby Whiting Osborne; daughter, Joy Bowers; and step-son, Bill Hayes. He leaves to cherish his memories two daughters, Elizabeth "Libby" Cooper and husband Carlie of Eagleville, Tenn., and Kelly Mihm and husband Steven of Rockvale, Tenn.; seven grandchildren, William Cooper and wife Kristin, Randall Cooper, Kearsten Caudill and husband Wes, Tyler Releford, Phillip Gerke, Billy Bowers and Molly Mihm; three great-grandchildren; step-daughters, Rhonda Abbott and husband Butch of Smyrna, Tenn ., and Marsha Hanvy and husband Jeff of Lavergne, Tenn.; five step-great grandchildren; and many more family members and friends who loved William and will miss him always. Reception visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m., Wednesday, Nov. 9, 2016 at Smith-Benton Funeral Home, 322 N. Market Street, Benton, Ark. Private graveside service held at a later date.
