Maxine Woolley

Maxine Owen Woolley, 72, of the Randall Community (Cleveland County), passed away Sunday, November 20, 2016. Born March 25, 1944 at Glendale, she was a daughter of the late Victor Otto Owen and Mary Will Smith Owen. A graduate of Glendale High School, Mrs. Woolley was a homemaker and a member of First Immanuel Missionary Baptist Church where she taught Sunday school for 47 years. Mrs. Woolley was caring and compassionate, with a hint quirkiness, she never met a stranger and was very charitable with her time and actions. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by five siblings, Helen Ballew, Pebble Watt, Evelyn Johnson, Victor Owen & James Owen. Mrs. Woolley is survived by her loving husband, James Olen Woolley; children, Sherri Woolley Ancipink & husband Patrick, and James "Jimmy" Woolley, Jr. & wife Jodi Lynn; siblings, Herbert Owen, Carrie Mae McClinton, Martha Mayfield, Eula Hestand, Joyce McFall & Virginia Gillespie; grandchildren, Griffin, Tess, Landra & Brenna; and many other loving family and friends. Funeral services will be Wednesday, 2 p.m. at First Immanuel Missionary Baptist Church with Brother Robert Cossey officiating. Interment will follow in Roselawn Cemetery.
