Tommie Lee Bowlan

Tommie Lee Bowlan, 69, of Mansfield, Ark. passed away on Friday, October 7, 2016 in his home. He was retired from the U.S. Army and National Guard serving over 36 years and was of the Baptist Faith. He was born May 1, 1947 in Carlisle, Ark. to the late Tommie T. and Ruby (Jarvis) Bowlan. He was preceded in death by his wife, Bonnie Bowlan and a brother, Jimmie Bowlan. Services will be 10 a.m. Friday, October 14, 2016 at Ocker Chapel of Alma with interment at 2 p.m. in Coop Prairie Cemetery with full military honors under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home of Alma. Survivors include his daughter, Bonnie Lee Marie Dale (Ronnie) of Alma, Ark.; two sisters, Bonnie Boothe of Floyd, Ark. and Louise Snider of Hazen, Ark.; two brothers, Ronnie Gene Bowlan and Dannie Bowlan both of Carlisle; two grandsons, Alex and Lukas Dale of Alma and his pet dog, Samantha Jane. Pallbearers will be Timothy Harrison, Ike Hill, Lee McMinimy, Jeff Bowlan, Jason Bowlan and Jason Fort. Honorary pallbearers will be the 39th Support Battalion, Danny Kelly, Nelton Henley, Ron Gibby, Terry Henley, Ronnie G. Dale and Dr. Lance Barton. The family will visit with friends from 6 until 8 p.m. Thursday evening, October 13, 2016 at Ocker Funeral Home of Alma, 917 Hwy. 64 East, Alma, Ark.
