Elmer Hugh Hobby Jr., 95, of North Little Rock passed away Thursday, October 20, 2016. He was born July 23, 1921 in Scott, Ark., to Elmer and Addie Purnell Hobby. He was a longtime member of the Church of Christ, and attended Park Hill Christian Church in North Little Rock. He served in the United States Army during World War II, and is a 32nd degree Mason. E.H. was preceded in death by his wife of 55 years, Wilda Hobby; his parents; siblings, Roy and Troy Hobby, Buddy Hobby, Liz Atwood and Maggie Manire. He is survived by his brother, Richard B. Hobby; two daughters, Neila Hobby, June (Everett) Skinner; two grandchildren, Adam (Betsy) Skinner and Hollie (Stacy) Black; three special great-grandsons, Cody Skinner, Bradley Black and Dylan Skinner and many nieces, nephews, family and friends. A visitation will be held from 2 to 4 p.m., Sunday, October 23, at Smith – North Little Rock Funeral Home, 1921 Main Street. Funeral services will be held 10 a.m., Monday, October 24, at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Edgewood Memorial Park. Online obituary at www.SmithFamilyCares.com.
