Julia B. "Judy Beth" Bruce Harris

Julia B. "Judy Beth" Bruce Harris, 90, of Heber Springs, passed from this life on October 27, 2016. Born in Pope County, Ark., on October 9, 1926, she had recently celebrated her 90th birthday with a gathering of family members at Southridge Assisted Living in Heber Springs, where she had resided since 2011. Julia was a member of Spring Park Church of Christ in Heber Springs. Julia professed her Christianity through her life, living humbly and doing many good deeds quietly, without recognition or fanfare. She retired in 1988 from the Jefferson County Circuit Clerk's office in Pine Bluff. Her love, however, was homemaking. She was an excellent cook and kept her house immaculately. Julia's creativity found outlets over the years in ceramics, crochet, gardening and painting, After retiring, she painted lovely landscapes and still lifes in both oil and watercolor. Julia is survived by her sons, Gary L. Webb of North Little Rock and B. Michael Labbe-Webb (Elizabeth) of Stone Mountain, Ga., and step-daughter, Diane H. Park (Donnie) of Norfork, Arkansas. She has nine grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren, and several beloved nieces and nephews. Julia was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Anna Faye Bruce, her husband of 33 years, Claude E. Harris Jr., stepson, Keith D. Harris, and her three sisters: Helen, Bobbye and Mary Nell. Funeral services will be 10 a.m., Monday, October 31, 2016 in the Chapel of Ralph Robinson & Son with Mr. Roger Hopper officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.
