Marvin Sammons

Funeral services for Marvin Sammons, 88 years old, of Kilbourne, La. will be 2 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 4, 2016 at Northside Baptist Church in Eudora, Ark. He died Thursday, Sept. 1, 2016 at his home. Visitation will be Saturday, Sept. 3, 2016 from 6-8 p.m. at Bishop-King Funeral Home in Lake Village, Ark. Burial will be in Mt. Carmel Cemetery in Eudora, Ark. Mr. Sammons was born Dec. 3, 1927 in Wilmont, Ark. to Ellis and Almeda Sammons. He was a lifelong resident of the Lake Village area where he grew up and attended school. He was preceded in death by his wife, Della Marteel Martar Sammons. He was also preceded in death by his parents and five siblings. He was a U.S. Army Veteran serving in Germany during WWII. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge. He is survived by his son, Michael Sammons of Kilbourne, La. He is also survived by a host of nieces and nephews and brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law. Rev. James Kitchens will officiate the services.
