Peggy Yeager Padden

PEGGY YEAGER PADDEN, 81, of Jacksonville, Ark., previously of Mansfield, Pa., went to be with our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, Saturday, Sept. 03, 2016. Peggy is preceded in death by her parents Bill and Jerlene Yeager and her sister, Betty. Peggy is survived by her beloved husband of 61 years, James, who was at her side, at home on Little Rock Air Force Base; also by their beloved children, Sharon Knippenberg (Mark) of Punta Gorda, Fla.; Elizabeth Kennedy (Bob) of Banks, Ore.; Margaret Patterson (Dave) of Carlton, Ore.; Michael Padden (Patricia)of Greeley, Pa.; and Tracy Nolley (Sandy) of Sherwood, Ark.; and 20 cherished grandchildren: Ben, Kristine, Jennifer, Jameson, Carson, Kris, Robbie, Chrissy, Candise, Shannon, Aaron, Erin, Laura, Lauren, Austin, Sammiey, Niki, Dana, Amelia, Madison; also 24 treasured great-grandchildren; two much-loved brothers, Kenneth (Linda) and Bob. Peggy and her husband's life-long pursuits, enriched in family tradition, were nurturing their strong values of faith, charity, love and support. They traveled the country, sharing homemade foods, crafts and stories while keeping the family unit connected. Peggy was well known for her hugs, quick smile, and kind words, but best known for her prayers for those in need. Her hobbies were baking and sewing, but her ministry was quilting. Of the 175 completed quilts, the majority were given in honor of family, military service, and support for charitable fund raising. Her Eucharistic ministry honored her deep love for her Lord, Jesus. A mass will be held for Peggy at St. Jude the Apostle Catholic Church in Jacksonville, Ark., on Tuesday, Sept. 13, 2016 at 10 a.m. A gathering of family will follow.
