Roy Edwin Sword, 72, of Cabot, entered the gates of Heaven on Sunday, September 11, 2016. He was born November 27, 1943 in Michigan to the late Enice Sword and Essie McCown Sword. He was a member of McArthur Assembly of God Church in Jacksonville. He retired from the United States Navy and the United States Postal Service, and he founded the Falcon Club of America. After his retirement, he owned and operated North Pulaski Auto Sales. He was preceded in death by his parents, and a brother, Larry Sword. He is survived by his wife, Pat Sword; children, Mark Sword (Denise), Chris Sword, and Tonia Sword-Hoffman (Ty); brother, Thelmer Sword (Judy); sister, Linda Coles (Edward); five grandchildren, Mark Sword, Jr. (Amy), Mallory Sword-Glenn (Logan), Haven Hoffman, Braison Hoffman, and a foster granddaughter; and great-grandson, Mark Sword III, also known as Tripp. Visitation will be Thursday, September 15, 2016 from 6-8 p.m. at McArthur Assembly of God Church. Funeral service will be Friday, September 16th at 11 a.m. at the church. Interment will be Monday, September 19, 2016 at 11 a.m. at Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery in North Little Rock Arrangements are under the direction of Moore's Cabot Funeral Home (501) 843-5816.
