Billy F. Farnsworth, 90, died Tuesday, September 13, 2016, in Dallas. Services will be 11 a.m. Friday, Sept. 16, 2016, at Adams-Graham Funeral Home. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery, directed by Adams-Graham Funeral Home. A memorial service will be 1 p.m. Saturday, September 17, 2016, in the auditorium of Presbyterian Village North, 8600 Skyline Drive in Dallas, followed by a reception in the library. Born December 14, 1925 in Anson, Billy was a son of the late Ed and Eva Farnsworth. Following graduation from Anson High School, Bill joined the U.S. Navy and then served in the U.S. Marines. He served in the Pacific Theater in WWII. After returning to Anson, Billy married Gerry Beasley in 1946. Bill worked for his Dad at Farnsworth Grocery and later was the regional manager with Morton Salt. His lifelong passion was raising cattle and ranching. Bill loved golfing until his health prevented him from playing. Bill was preceded in death by one brother and three sisters. Survivors include his wife of 70 years, Gerry Farnsworth of the home; a daughter, Tonya McKiever of Bella Vista, Arkansas; a son, Greg Farnsworth (David Pucek) of Dallas; granddaughter, Colli McKiever (Patrick Amico) of Las Vegas, Nev.; a great-granddaughter, Ashlin Gross of Las Vegas, Nev.; a brother, John Farnsworth of Anson; a sister, Eva Sage of Dallas; several nieces and nephews and a host of friends. In lieu of flowers, the family request that memorials be made to the charity of one's choice. The family would like thank Faith Presbyterian Hospice and Care Unlimited for their kind and unconditional support.
