Emma Boyd

Emma Boyd, age 81 of Cabot, passed away on Friday, Sept. 16, 2016. She was born in Kensett on Sept. 23, 1934 to Charlie and Valley Strope Cowan. She was a member of the Cabot Church of Christ and was involved in the Agape Group. The very heart and soul of her family, she was a loving mother and grandmother who dearly loved her children and never ceased to put others first. She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Arvindale Leroy Boyd; a daughter, Carolyn Boyd; a brother, Sam Cowan; and sisters, Charlene Shope and Nora Warner. She is survived by her children, Esther Boyd (Chuck Wyman), of Cabot, Judy Boyd Glenn (John), of Searcy, Dale Edward Boyd, of Cabot, Gale Edward Boyd (Pam), of Ward, and Jimmy Wayne Boyd, of Cabot; one brother, Don Cowan, of Kokomo, Indiana; one sister, Ada Warner, of Orlando, Florida; five grandchildren, Lauren Glenn Woodson, John Michael Glenn, Jeremy Boyd, Jonathan Boyd, Jennifer Boyd-Bennett; and five great-grandchildren, Malory Bennett, Jeffery Bennett, Jeremy Boyd Jr., Ellisa Boyd, and Angel Boyd. Visitation will be Sunday, Sept. 18 from 6-8 p.m. at Moore's Cabot Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Monday, Sept. 19 at 2 p.m. at Moore's Cabot Funeral Home, with interment taking place Wednesday, Sept. 21, at 12 p.m. at the Little Rock National Cemetery in Little Rock.
