Truman Hamilton (Hanny) Hill, 92, of Bryant, AR, passed away Thursday, March 30, 2017. He was born July 6, 1924, in Ben Lomond, AR, to the late William and Sarah Hill. He was from the greatest generation, a true southern gentleman who loved his family fiercely and was a role model for his children and grandchildren. His hobby was spending time with his grandchildren who called him Pappaw. Truman graduated from Washington High School, then served our country in the 8th Army, Occupation forces in Japan. He was retired from the AR State Plant Board, where he served as Director of Marketing, was a member of First United Methodist Church of Bryant and a Mason, Lodge Whitfield #239 in Hope, AR. A loving father, grandfather, and great grandfather, he will be deeply missed. Truman was preceded in death by his wife of 60 years; Imogene (Webb), whom he referred to as the love of his life, his parents and brothers; Robert (Bob) Hill and Theodore Hill. He is survived by his children; Steve Hill and Karen Arnold, Marilyn Jacuzzi and husband Jim, and John Hill and Mistie Hill, grandchildren; Matt Hill (Rachel), Kate Hill (Alex), Greg Jacuzzi (Lea), Phillip Jacuzzi (Jill), Kim Jacuzzi Elrod (Justin), Sarah Hill and Hamilton Hill; and great grandchildren; J. Dawson, Ali, Julian, Evan, Caroline, Kai and Broc. The family wishes to express their sincere appreciation for the compassion and care given by his caregiver; Valerie Calvin, the Staff of Southern Trace Rehab, Bryant Senior Center, and AR Heart Hospital. Visitation will be held from 2 p.m. until 4 p.m. on Sunday, April 2, 2017, at Griffin Leggett Forest Hills Funeral Home, 10200 Hwy 5 North, Alexander, AR (501-455-1067). Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. on Monday, April 3, 2017, at St. Paul Cemetery in Ozan, AR. Memorial contributions may be made to the Saline Memorial Hospice House Fund, 1 Medical Park Drive, Benton, AR 72015.
