Glynda Allison Turner, 77, of Little Rock, died Saturday, April 15, 2017, in Dallas, Texas. Glynda, known to many as Yo-Yo, was born July 17, 1939 in Banks, Arkansas. She was the wife and soul-mate of Joseph Michael Turner for nearly 55 years. Her parents were the late Glynn and Maylah Allison. She was a long-time and active member of Pulaski Heights Baptist Church. Glynda was a Tiger, Reddie, Sooner, social worker, entrepreneur, world traveler, Cooperative Baptist, and a mother and friend to anyone needing such attention. In addition to Mike, Glynda is survived by one daughter, Cathy Theisen, and her husband, Greg of Frisco, Texas; son, Jay and his wife, Suzette, of Little Rock; and son, Andy and his wife, Charity, of Dallas, Texas. The greatest joys of her life were her eight grandchildren: Drew, Marian, Mallory, Allison, Margaret, A.J., Michael, and Adam. They will miss their happy sacks and Camp Yo-Yo. A few of the people and organizations near to Glynda's heart were: TWT; the Parkview Patriots; PHBC youth; PHBC choir; Mac & Eddie's RV Services; PARK; People Against Trafficking in Humans; Hearts In Service; BRI water group; The Board; Questers; Sturbridge Garden Club; the Lower Ladies of Coachlight; and YoungLife. The family will celebrate Glynda's life at 11 a.m. on Friday, April 21, at Pulaski Heights Baptist Church, 2200 Kavanaugh Blvd, Little Rock, Ark. 75205, with a reception following in Hicks Hall.
