Marguerite Marie (Costello) Brown, formerly of Damascus, Arkansas was born June 4, 1919 in Fort Scott, Kansas to Tom and Margaret (Hamlin) Costello. She died peacefully at 97 years of age in Houston, Texas on Monday evening, February 6, 2017. She is predeceased by her husband of 54 years, A.J. Brown, of Damascus, Arkansas and her sister and brother-in-law, Florence and Jake Berry of Nederland, Texas, as well as many beloved members of the Brown and Berry families who have gone before. She leaves behind her brother and sister-in-law, Tom and Lou Costello of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, sisters-in-law, Clariece Brown, of Jacksonville, Florida and Vauniece Brown of Damascus Arkansas, daughter, Sharon Rather of Houston, Texas, son and daughter-in-law, Gary and Debbie Brown of Briarcliff, Texas, granddaughter, Christine Fontenot and husband, Matt, of Magnolia, Texas, grandson, Christopher Contreras of Houston, Texas, granddaughter, Melanie Brown of Austin, Texas and granddaughter, Karen (Brown) Hagenbuch and husband, Jeremy, of Leander, Texas and great-grandchildren Madison, Katelyn and Jackson Fontenot of Magnolia, Texas, as well as many beloved cousins, nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Maximilian Kolbe, 10135 West Road, Houston, Texas, 77064 at 2 p.m. on Friday, February 10, 2017. Burial will be at a later date at Spires Cemetery, Damascus Arkansas. If desired, memorials may be made in memory of Marguerite Brown to the building fund of Saint Jude Chapel, 3178 Highway 65 South, Clinton, Arkansas 72031 or to Saint Maximilian Kolbe Catholic Church, 11035 West Road, Houston, Texas 77064.
