Lucy Lorene Yant

Lucy Lorene Yant, 84, of Benton, Arkansas passed away February 11, 2017. She was born October 14, 1932 in Little Rock, Arkansas to the late Tobe and Lois Lane. Lucy cherished spending time with her family. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were her life. She also enjoyed gardening, fishing, and being outside. Lucy was a member of Concord Missionary Baptist Church. Later in life, she spent much time working word searches. Lucy had a passion of serving others and even at the age of 70, volunteered for Meals on Wheels. Preceding Lucy in death are her parents; son, Robert Yant; grandson, Jonathan Johnson; and four sisters, Elizabeth Caldwell, Louise Yount, Avanelle Lane, and Nadine Lane. She leaves to cherish her memories three children, Ray Sturgeon and wife Sandy of Mayflower, Arkansas, Barbara Johnson of Benton, Arkansas, and Debbie Foster of Indiana; four grandchildren, Stephanie Vest, Brian Enderle, Christopher Enderle, and Brian Lemlyn; three great-grandchildren, Sidney Henry, Michael Henry, and Savannah Dunlap; and many more family members and friends who loved Lucy and will miss her always. Visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m., Wednesday, February 15, 2017, at Smith-Benton Funeral Home, 322 N. Market St., Benton, Arkansas. Funeral service, officiated by Bro.
