Edna Earle "Boots" Boyce Waldron, 92, of Pine Bluff, Arkansas, passed away Tuesday, February 21, 2017, at Jefferson Regional Medical Center. She was born June 21, 1924, in Pine Bluff, Arkansas, to David and Katherine Lowman Boyce. She graduated in 1942 from Pine Bluff High School - "Her talent lies in her hands"- and attended Hendrix College. She moved to New Orleans, Louisiana in 1967, returning to Pine Bluff in 1986. Boots was a talented artist in many areas including calligraphy, tatting, and painting. Her water colors sold throughout the country. She exemplified a life-long love of the arts including her participation in her "Beloved Little Firehouse." Most recently she enjoyed celebrating her 90th birthday at the Arts and Science Center for Southeast Arkansas. She was preceded in death by her husband of almost 50 years, James Alexander Waldron, whom she married on February 17, 1945, in Victoria, Texas; her parents; David William Boyce and Katherine Lowman Boyce; Siblings; Luan Boyce, David William Boyce, Jack Boyce, Helen Boyce, Harold Boyce,Raymond Sallee, Ruth Sallee Butcalis; and two sons; James Alex "Buzzy" Waldron MD and William "Bill" Harold Waldron. Survivors include her grandchildren: Stephen Waldron, David (Anna) Waldron, Julia (Frank) Bradt, Mary Margaret (Darren) Tillery, Suzanne (Eric) Penny; and six great-grandchildren. Graveside services will be 10 a.m., Saturday, February 25, 2017, at Graceland Cemetery with Reverend Ferrel West officiating by Ralph Robinson & Son Funeral Home.
