Charles "Bubba" Wade Jr.

Charles "Bubba" Wade Jr., 87, of Ashdown, Ark. Passed away Wednesday, Dec. 28, 2016 in a local hospital. Bubba was born April 23, 1929 in Texarkana, Ark. He was a former Arkansas State Representative for 18 years. Founder of Arkansas Bankers Life Insurance Company and life long rancher. Was an avid horseman and served in the United States Marine Corp. Preceded in death by his wife Barbara Claire Wade; parents Charles O. Wade Sr. and Helen Wade and sister Patsy Wade. Survivors are five sons Charles O. Wade III, Randy Wade, Hal Wade, John Wade all of Ashdown, Ark., and Alejandro Martinez of Texarkana; two daughters Sandra Powell of Texarkana and Susan Johnston of Ashdown, Ark., one brother Decker Wade of Texarkana. Plus many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephew and special friends. Funeral service will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 3, 2017 at East Funeral Home-Downtown with Rev.
