William "Bill" Randall Womack

William "Bill" Randall Womack, 83, passed away Friday, January 6, 2017, at White River Medical Center in Batesville, Arkansas. He was born September 12, 1933 in Ward, Arkansas to Rev. Bill and Altha Womack. Bill recently lived at Eagle Mountain Assisted Living in Batesville and decades in the Heber Springs area. Bill was preceded in death by his parents. Survivors include wife, Opal of Tumbling Shoals, Ark.; daughter, Nancy (George) Mitchell of Little Rock, Ark.; son, Reid (Angie) Womack of Cave City, Ark.; grandchildren, Dane (Jill) Womack of Ft. Smith, Ark., Kyle Mitchell of Houston, Texas, Corey Womack of Little Rock, Ark., Sara Mitchell of Dublin, Ireland, Catie Mitchell of Alexander, Ark.; great-grandchildren, Edith and Holden Womack of Ft. Smith, Ark.; sister, Vestal Hipp of Lebanon, Ohio; brother, Willard (Jan) Womack of Peachtree City, Ga.; nieces, nephews, friends, and Opal's children, Dan and Doug Verser of Tumbling Shoals and their families. Visitation is Thursday, January 12th from 12:30-1:30 p.m. at Olmstead Funeral Home, 601 W. Main Street, Heber Springs followed by a memorial service at 1:30 p.m. with Rev. Tommy Toombs and Rev. Dane Womack officiating. Burial will follow at Cleburne County Memorial Garden. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to The Nature Conservancy of Arkansas, The National Geographic Society, National Wildlife Federation, or The Alzheimer's Foundation of America. Arrangements are by Olmstead Funeral Home of Heber Springs.
