Marichal Jerome Hooks Sr.

Marichal JEROME Hooks Sr. left us much too soon on June 11, 2017. Jerome was born to Willis and Mary Hooks on September 1, 1969 in Little Rock, Arkansas. He was a long-time past employee of 12 years for both the Baptist Medical Center in Little Rock and The Little Rock School District Transportation Department. Jerome was also a 32nd degree Mason (NLR). He is preceded in death by his daughter, Makayla J. Hooks. He will be greatly missed by his wife of 20 years, Janisa (Johnson) Hooks; parents, Willis Jr. and Mary Hooks; children, Karein, Marchelle, Marichal, and Mikal Hooks, Parrish and JeVon Lawrence; grandchildren, Deilyn, Laiya, Emerald and Paighton; siblings, Myron (Anita) Benton, Yonacex Benton, Shadwon (Rebecca) Hooks, Barbara (Bernard) Alford, and Bobby Hooks and a host of relatives and friends. A memorial service will be held in his honor on Friday June 16, 2017, 6 p.m.-7 p.m. at Ruffin & Jarrett Funeral Home, 1200 Chester Street, Little Rock, Arkansas, 72202. (501) 372-1305.
