Ellen Loretta Bolte

Ellen L. Bolte was born Oct. 27, 1934, in Siloam Springs, Ark., to John and Sylvia Pike. She passed away on March 24, 2017. Ellen had five siblings; LaVerna Lemmer, JD Pike, Kenneth Pike, Katherine Ogden, and Sam Pike. Ellen's career spanned a multitude of fields including a supervisor with Southwestern Bell, Insurance Agent, Loan Officer, and a Collections Officer. Ellen married Bill Bolte in Pittsburg, KS in 1963. They have two children; Mark Bolte and his wife Jeanette and Stacy Boyajian and her husband Sam. She also has four grandchildren; Sheila and Abby Bolte, Samantha and Aram Boyajian. Ellen and Bill lived in Pittsburg until 1986 when they moved to Bella Vista, Ark. Ellen worked at the Bella Vista POA until retirement. Ellen was proceeded in death by her parents, brother Sam, and her husband Bill. Ellen was a strong individual who was very loved and will be greatly missed by her family and many dear friends. The family will receive friends at Ellen's home on Kensington Sunday, April 2 from 1-3 p.m. A private family burial will be in Pittsburg at a later date.
