Carolyn Sue McGinnis

Carolyn Sue (Grady) McGinnis, 60, of Cabot, passed away Tuesday, May 9, 2017. She was born July 8, 1956 to the late Allen Evelyn Grady and Maxine Cleotha (George) Grady. She was a member of Harmony Baptist Church and a child of God. Carolyn leaves behind a multitude of family, friends and church family. She is preceded in death by her oldest brother, Ghyrane Allen Grady and sister-in-laws, Mary (Roberts) Grady and Ellie (McInitre) Grady. She is survived by her beloved husband, Walter Gordon "Booster" McGinnis whom she married August 6, 1971; her children, Heather (Joe) Savage and Zackary Issac McGinnis; her two brothers, Gary (Joann) Grady and Marcus (Sharron) Grady; her two sisters, Brenda (Calvin) Osborne and Clarise (Dale) Payne; her grandchildren, Ethan Eli Savage and Logan Mcginnis and a multitude of nephews and nieces and great- nieces and great- nephews. Carolyn taught school for 27 years and she experienced close friendships formed at Cabot Middle School South; they are known as the Inner Sanctum. Funeral services will be Friday, May 12, 2017 at 2 p.m. at Harmony Baptist Church in Sherwood. Visitation will be Thursday, May 11, 2017 from 6-8 p.m. at Moore's Cabot Funeral Home.
