James Nyren Smith

James Nyren Smith, age 87, of Searcy, died Tuesday, May 9, 2017 at his home in Searcy. He was born October 20, 1929 in Searcy to G. Carl Smith and Ethel Davis Smith. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Searcy and worked for 30 years as a crop duster. He leaves to cherish his memory one daughter, Terrie Smith of Searcy; one son, Glen Smith and wife Barbara of Jonesboro; and two grandsons, Austin John and Noah James Smith, both of Jonesboro. He is preceded in death by his parents; and wife Wilma Dean Langley Smith. Funeral services will be Saturday, May 13 at 3 p.m. at Powell Funeral Home Chapel with a time of visitation to follow.
