Arthur Lee Jones

Called to be with his Lord and Savior, Arthur Lee Jones, went to his eternal rest on February 26, 2018. Memorial Mass: 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, March 7, at Most Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, 2100 North Davis Drive, Arlington, Texas 76012 presided by Father Joseph Pemberton. Cremation arranged by Wade Family Funeral Home of Arlington and there will be no interment at this time. Arthur was born May 12, 1939 in Junction City, Arkansas and soon after, resided in Little Rock, Arkansas with his father and mother; the late Howard Butler Jones and Edith Avis Mitchell. Arthur brought his lovely wife Marie and their children to the Dallas/Fort Worth area in 1975, after transferring with his company, Arkansas Best Freight (ABF) where he was a tireless provider for his family and where he was awarded a "2 Million Miles of Safe Driving" award. He had been retired for the last ten years during which time he and his wife Marie enjoyed their own business of traveling the Dallas, Fort Worth Metroplex, buying and selling Antique furniture, before a bout with Alzheimer, which he eventually succumbed to. He was also preceded in death by his wife of 59 years, Alice Marie Hargett, as well as one sister, Edna Louise Meriweather and one brother, James Edward Jones. Survivors: Arthur is survived by his sons Ronnie Lee Jones (Sherri), Clark Howard Jones, and their grandson (Ronnie's Son) Joshua Lane Jones. He also has one sister, Shirley Mae Freyaldenhoven, living in Conway, Arkansas.
