She is survived a daughter, Renee Tyler, grandson, Michael Tyler Smith of Dubuque, Iowa, two step-daughters, Eunice Alale, and Angela Alale of California, two brothers, George Garmon of Monticello, New York and Bertram (Shirley) Garmon of Hot Springs, Arkansas, aunt, Clovis Washington of Brooklyn, New York, God-Son, Ronnie Cato Ridley, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was a retired Adult Education Professor at Shorter College for many years.
