Christi Gay Bruich, 48, of Little Rock, Ark., went to be with the Lord Monday, February 11, 2019. She was born December 9, 1970 in Pine Bluff, Ark. to Carol Mitchell Speer and John Roy Speer. Christi was a devoted mother, who cherished her daughter, Fallon, from the moment of first hearing her heart beat several weeks into the pregnancy. Fallon was truly her mom's "mini-me" and the two enjoyed eight short but wonderful years together making crafts, baking, going to the movies, mommy-daughter slumber parties and host of many happy times. She graduated North Little Rock Ole Main and attended Central Baptist College and the University of Arkansas Little Rock. She worked in the commercial insurance industry and later became a medical transcriptionist for Radiology Consultants. Christi was passionate about reading and her hobbies included cross-stitching and baking. Friends and family considered her holiday desserts and candies second to none. Christi accepted Jesus Christ as her savior as a teen after hearing her Papo, Reverend Gene Mitchell preach the gospel at Parkview Baptist Church, where she was also baptized by him. Visitation will be 9 to 9:40 a.m., Saturday, February 16, at Griffin Leggett Rest Hills Funeral Home in North Little Rock, Ark., followed by a private graveside service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Episcopal Collegiate School. Payments can be made online at https://www.episcopalcollegiate.org/support-us/makeagift, or checks may be sent to Episcopal Collegiate School at 1701 Cantrell Road, Little Rock, Ark. 72201. An online guestbook is available at www.griffinleggettresthills.com.
