Ernest Ray Cramer

Ernest Ray Cramer, 95, of Bella Vista, Arkansas, died January 15, 2019 at Veterans Hospital in Fayetteville. He was born May 23, 1923 in Audubon, Iowa to Ralph Luther Cramer and Daisy Johnson Cramer. He graduated from Audubon High School in 1941. He worked in Washington D.C. for one year and then enlisted in the U.S. Air Force Cadet Program. He graduated Pilot Training in June of 1942 and went overseas and flew over 26 missions over Europe during WWII. He attended Iowa University 1945–1947. He began an Insurance job in 1947 in Des Moines, Webster City, and Ft. Dodge until 1950. He owned the Cramer Insurance Agency from 1950-1984. He retired to Bella Vista in 1985 where he enjoyed golfing and fishing. He is preceded in death by his parents and wife Barbara V. Cramer. He is survived by one daughter, Cynthia J. Gage of Bella Vista; eight grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren and dear friend Renona Crowden. Graveside services will be at 11:00 a.m., Monday, January 21st at Fayetteville National Cemetery.
