Traditional fiddle tunes by Clancey Ferguson, the Ozark Folk Center's 2014 Musician of the Year, filled the lobby of the Historic Arkansas Museum on July 10 for the opening night of the exhibit "Art. Function. Craft. The Life and Work of Arkansas Living Treasures." Later in the evening, Ferguson would play with fiddle maker Violet Hensley. Hensley, who said she was one year and three months shy of being 100 years old, is one of Arkansas' Living Treasures.

Both kitchens of the Clinton Presidential Center were busy June 26 as third-year culinary students, ages 11 to 15, were in one kitchen frying shrimp, oysters and alligator while in the other kitchen they were chopping up grilled chicken for pasta and assembling barbecued pork sliders.

The British and the American Militia re-enactors fired volleys at each other July 4 during a re-enactment of the Revolutionary War Battles of Lexington and Concord. The "battle" was waged at Historic Arkansas Museum's farmstead as part of Frontier Fourth of July.
